If you’re familiar with Montreal nightlife, then you know that there’s a huge difference from what is available downtown (clubs) to what you’ll find in the Mile-End and the Plateau (bars and pubs). Speaking from experience, if you live in the Plateau-Montreal-Royal, you can get stuck in its bubble of bars. Sometimes, we uptown folk need to get dressed up and venture downtown for a change of scene. Well, the cab ride just got cheaper because we’ve now got a hot spot close to home!
Tonight is a big night for the Montreal club scene. Montreal’s newest club, M8, will be opening its doors. M8 is a swanky nightclub, in contrast to the usual Mile-X scene. If you walk down that stretch of Parc Avenue, you’d expect to see an array of cafés and shops–definitely not a nightclub. Abandon your conception of the Mile-X, get dressed up, and head to your new favourite club!
Tonight’s events are everything you want from a club and more. This isn’t just a place you go to pop bottles; they are also huge supporters of the arts. Tonight you’ll find a painting exhibition from the artist Jaber Lufti. Roux Soundsystem, Peter Anthony, and Hicky & Kalo will bring you beats. Needless to say, it’s going to be a great night.
Hangout at a new venue with fancy decor, friendly staff, art, and international DJs! Don’t fall into the uptown funk–get down in the Mile-X!
